Differentiated instruction helps to ensure learning is easily accessed by all children in the classroom, while scaffolding strategies and supports are used by the teacher to progressively move children toward stronger understanding and, ultimately, greater independence in the learning process. In this engaging, half-day session, teachers will learn about the differences between differentiation and scaffolding and will explore and practice various scaffolding techniques. Teachers will also practice adjusting scaffolds when planning so that they can be well prepared to help children experience success in the classroom.
