Using TX-KEA Data: For Teachers
This 3-hour training provides kindergarten teachers with an understanding of the key components of direct instruction and how they can use the teaching and learning cycle to make instruction impactful. This hands-on, interactive session will help teachers understand how to evaluate and plan small group instruction using their Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA) data. Teachers will also be shown how to use the CIRCLE Activity collection as a planning tool. Teachers will have several opportunities to work with and learn from each other as they practice techniques presented during the training.
Requirements: Participants must use TX-KEA. Participants need a computer, reliable internet access, and a CLI Engage account. Participants must be able to access their CLI Engage account successfully prior to the start of the session. Teachers will have opportunities to work with and learn from each other as they practice techniques presented during the training. Participants will need to print handouts prior to the training.
Using TX-KEA Data: For School and District Leaders
This virtual 2-hour session provides school- and district-level leadership with a brief overview of the Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA) and the skills assessed with TX-KEA. Participants will learn the various school and district reports for viewing and analyzing data. Administrators will leave with the knowledge of what each report is and how it is useful when making instructional decisions for students.
